i know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!

but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.

i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).

I never new my wife before she was a JW, and when under stress one tends to revert back to the personality before being indoctrinated into the cult. This has been a stressful time for both of us, the stress coming from the congregation and due to the indoctrination. The pre-cult personality traits she has shown due to the stress were vicious, really vicious, so my thinking is she is a better person as a witness than not being a witness. So I do not try to prove anything unless she specifically asks, which she will quite likely not ask. If she does ask of course I shall give her the information. When she reported me to the elders she took great pleasure in telling me in a most disrespectful and condescending manner which elder she told, the one I dislike the most because he is a liar and a cheat and clearly fits the clinical description of a psychopath.

I have to live with the life I have, but our marriage is certainly not going to last, I do not want this toxicity the rest of my life.

I married a sister and we had one child. Before I knew JWs it was my desire to have a family with at least 3 children.

That is what I missed out on and that pisses me off.

HELP - A Guide to Fade

hey everybody, been here lurking for years now... i tired of all the gb 2.0 shit and need to fade successfullydo we have a guide, i am very tempted to go out with a bang, but i want my wife with me, she aint a strong witness and would happily trust me ... i love her a lot.

When I decided to leave/fade I was also an MS. For me the first thing was giving up this position, I made the mistake of giving a reason why I no longer wanted to be an MS.

If you decided to resign your position as an MS, give them no reason as to why you have done that. If the elders insist on speaking to you about it, refuse.

Just grab two elders as one of the meetings start, and clearly state you no longer want to be an MS, it does not have to be written. That is how I did it, but unfortunately I gave a reason why, and they came back to me and wanted to talk about the reason, I then refused.

Is thia the kind of schooling elders get?

I get it after watching a second time.

You have to guess which of the kids are more spiritual.

The kid who plays on the beach with the dog.

The kid who goes in FS rather than playing in the snow.

The kid in hospital who gives some bOrg literature to the doctor.

or

The kid who temporarily leaves his teddy-bear to get baptized.

My vote goes to the kid who plays with her dog on the beach.

The org, it's money problems ans other stuff!

hi there, although i have been a lurker here for a while now i've not yet posted a new topic, so here goes nothing lol.. i have been thinking a lot lately on all the changes and the branch visits, specifically the uk branch visit where apparently it has bean mentioned the great tribulation is about to start.. since i've not heard the full talk and only heard certain items from it i got to thinking that maybe this is the org's way of saying the watchtower is about to go down due to all the cover ups and the long list of discrepancies.. maybe i am way off the mark here, what does everone else think?.

You might have a point there.

Considering the prophecies of the time of the end that JWs use, which after analyzing them from a non-WTBTS point of view, clearly show that we are not living in this time.

Wars etc - we are living in about the most peaceful time ever for the human race.
(I will not provide any proof here, research it, its on the Internet)

Increasing lawlessness - definitely not, having police and a judicial system keeps crime in check, even though there is corruption. Again like wars we have never had more peaceful time for the human race.

Pestilences - that is ridiculous to say that is problem today, the bubonic plague use to kill vast numbers of the population, with the health control systems mankind has in place, even Ebola has its problems.

Earthquakes - same as they have always been in frequency and intensity, occasionally someone publishes something different and that is what the WTBTS quotes.

Preaching - considering that around 2 billion people have no chance of hearing the "Good news", then certainly this point is not being fulfilled.

Anyway I have also noticed that the bOrg has been preparing the drones for such persecution, which will not be due to Satan attacking them, but the judicial system will say enough is enough!

Trolley Witnessing Saves Money?

i was just wondering, do you think the trolley cart stationary witnessing is to slow down the literature distribution at not-at-homes?.

it basically traps several shifts of pioneers to a cart or table and keeps the placement count way down compared to leaving something at every door in a neighborhood.. is money the main motivation here?

(besides staged facebook pics lol).

I personally do not think is a matter of money. It`s more desperation, the cult is dieing very slowly.

I did the trolly thing once, and I thought at the time, this is stupid.

Crazyguy. I feel for you, realizing that you have been misled and wanting to share this "truth" with your partner is a very upright thing to do, but the bOrg indoctrination is so strong. Your wife feeling so bad shows that CD is having an affect.

My wife has moved into a different room in the house. She does not greet me in the mornings nor does she say goodnight. Trying to start a conversation about anything is not possible, not even about the weather. But anyway I am there for her, as you are there for your wife.

As for me I am picking up the things I left 28 years ago, I restarted tae-kwon-do, and will restart gliding, things I did before being assimilated.
